Equipment vibration and radiographic image resolution

Accelerometer transducers were employed to detect linear vibratory motions in various radiographic equipment during film exposure. Vibratory displacements sufficient to degrade the image were found in several spot-film devices and Bucky drawers. Other potential sources of image degradation are discussed.
