Assessment of neutron/gamma-ray dose ratios in intracavitary 252Cf neutron therapy

252Cf was used to treat tumors of the cervix, vagina, and uterus. Dosimetric analysis and assessment of n/gamma ratios achievable under clinical conditions indicate that this radionuclide may be useful in gynecologic brachytherapy.
