Internal mammary lymphadenopathy was demonstrated by computed tomography (CT) in 18 patients with biopsy-proved, locally recurrent breast carcinoma. The additional information provided by CT prompted alterations in the proposed radiation treatment portals in 7 of the 18 patients. The CT demonstration of internal mammary lymphadenopathy is outlined and compared with the findings obtained on routine chest radiography.
