SO Pais, DF De Orchis and SE Mirvis
Department of Diagnostic Radiology, University of Maryland Medical System/Hospital, Baltimore 21201.

Percutaneous filter placement in the superior vena cava is described in a patient with pulmonary embolism and upper extremity thrombosis in whom anticoagulative therapy was contraindicated.
