"Normal Pelvic Lymph Nodes: Evaluation with CT after Bipedal Lymphangiography." Radiology 1995; 194:349-355.

On page 354, the authors wish to clarify the following statement: "One text (18) does not give any size criteria, although it does report that nodes smaller than 1 cm are difficult to identify." While the authors in that reference do not give any size criteria for normal pelvic lymph nodes in the introduction, they do later on give guidelines. Thus, in the chapter on the pelvis, they state that nodes between 1.0 and 1.5 cm are to be viewed with suspicion, particularly if they lie within the expected course of lymphatic spread of a cancer, and that nodes greater than 1.5 cm are abnormal.
