In April 1998, we introduced a new feature in Radiology—Diagnosis Please (1). Each month, a challenging case is presented. Readers are asked to submit the most likely diagnosis based on the history and imaging findings provided. Four months later (to allow all of our international readers an opportunity to participate), the answer to the case is presented; this part includes a description of the imaging findings and a discussion of the differential diagnosis, indicating why the most likely diagnosis is indeed most likely.

Diagnosis Please has become a popular monthly feature; we receive hundreds of responses for each case and publish the names of those individuals who have submitted the most likely diagnosis. Several additional cases are now under preparation, and it is our plan to continue this feature as long as we have authors who are willing to prepare the cases. Each case is rigorously evaluated through our peer-review process.

Case 12 was presented in the March 1999 issue of Radiology and its answer in the July 1999 issue. We have now identified, for the 1st year of Diagnosis Please cases, one individual who submitted the highest number of correct answers—Sergio Julio Moguillansky, MD, from Cipolletti, Río Negro, Argentina.

Dr Moguillansky received his MD degree in 1977 from the School of Medicine of the Universidad de Buenos Aires in Argentina. He served as a resident in diagnostic radiology from 1978 to 1981 in the Medical Radiology Program directed by Pedro Moguillansky, MD. From 1983 to 1991, he served as chief of radiology of the Clínica Radiológica del Sur. Since 1991, he has held the position of chief of radiology at Medicina XXI, a radiology center located in the cities of Cipolletti and Neuquén. His practice includes general radiology, with a specialty focus in neuroradiology. In 1998, he joined the faculty of the School of Medicine of the Universidad Nacional del Comahue, where he directs the imaging section of theAnatomy and Normal Images course. Dr Moguillansky is certified in diagnostic radiology by the Board of Certification of Medical Professions of the Academia Nacional de Medicina and by the Recertification Committee of the Asociación Médica Argentina.

Dr Moguillansky has participated in numerous courses and meetings in both Argentina and the United States, including several visiting fellowships in the United States at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, and the Huntington Research Institutes, Pasadena, Calif. He has been and continues to be a popular speaker, in particular at the Congreso Argentino de Radiología and others. He has several publications to his credit and has been president of the Sociedad de Radiología y Medicina por Imágenes del Comahue and vice president of the Federación Argentina de Asociaciones de Radiología, Diagnóstico por Imágenes y Terapia Radiante.

In his letter to me, Dr Moguillansky stated his participation in Diagnosis Please was " . . . primarily based on the need to answer . . . an intellectual challenge, check my knowledge in different areas, and learn more about differential diagnosis and clinical-radiological correlations." It is clear that he has the knowledge and has met the challenge. We extend our congratulations to him for his accomplishments! He will receive a certificate (pictured herein) in recognition of the same.
