I recently read the article on iliac artery catheterization by Dr Pelage and colleagues (1) and was disappointed. This article provides no new technically important information. This technique of catheter reformation and cannulation is, for all intents and purposes, identical to the "loop" first described by Dr Arthur Waltman (2), a technique that has been around for nearly 3 decades and that is familiar to virtually all experienced angiographers. Let's give credit where credit is due. Thank you, Arthur.
