Research Trainee Prizes from the 2001 RSNA Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting

In 1994 the RSNA Program Committee, chaired by William M. Thompson, MD, began a new program to recognize the contribution of residents to the RSNA Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting: the Research Trainee Prize. In 1999, the Research Trainee Prize was expanded to include fellows. Each subcommittee of the Program Committee may award two prizes each year—one prize for the best paper that has been submitted by a resident/trainee and one prize for the best paper that has been submitted by a fellow. These award-winning papers have been accepted for presentation at the RSNA scientific assembly. Judgment is based on the scientific content of the paper as presented in an extended abstract. The Research Trainee Prize consists of $1,000 and a certificate indicating the name of the trainee and the title of the paper, both of which are given to the individual trainee.
