Figure 2. Transverse 2-mm-thick CT scan shows adenocarcinoma in 64-year-old man. The nodule, located in the right upper lobe, had a well-defined polygonal shape and exhibited no lobulation, spiculation, or air bronchogram; the radiologists classified it as benign. Emphysema surrounded 70% of the nodule.
