Teniae Coli–based Circumferential Localization System for CT Colonography: Feasibility Study

Movie 1: Virtual fly-through navigation from the cecum to the descending colon. Synchronized supine (left) and prone (right) images are shown.

Movie 2: Virtual fly-through viewing direction pitches up to point at a polyp (0.7-cm sessile adenoma) on the 11th grid line, which is on the left of TO (red-yellow-green stripe). The viewing direction then pitches down to point at the colonic wall between the TM (green) and TL (yellow). The synchronized viewing direction was achieved by positioning the virtual cameras according to the local coordinate system described in Figure 4. With the viewing direction fixed on the colonic wall between the TM and TL, the navigation proceeds from the hepatic flexure to the transverse colon. The movie concludes by showing another polyp (0.8-cm sessile adenoma) located between the fifth and sixth grid lines in the transverse colon.
