Differentiating Benign from Malignant Solid Breast Masses with US Strain Imaging

Movie 1. Fibroadenoma in a 43-year-old woman. B-mode and strain image sequences in the long-axis view demonstrate decreased strain image contrast with increasing compression. The white box in the B-mode images defines the region of interest for strain image formation.

Movie 2. Invasive ductal carcinoma in a 53-year-old woman. B-mode and strain image sequences in the long-axis view demonstrate increased lesion size and better visualization of the distal lesion boundary in the strain images than in the B-mode images.
